Dear members of SRNT Europe

Travel Awards for SRNT Europe Members

Four merit-based awards will be available to members of SRNT Europe to support attendance at the SRNT Europe 2016 annual meeting in Prague, the Czech Republic.
The awards will include an award of 750 Euros. Applicants must be current members of SRNT Europe, and must be presenting at the meeting (either oral or poster presentation).

Two awards will go to early career researchers - these are open to graduate students and early career researchers (defined as those who completed their PhD or other terminal degree after 1st September 2011).

Two awards will go to attendees from European countries where increased tobacco control research output should be encouraged (namely Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia - see Willemsen & Nagelhout, 2016) or World Bank low or lower-middle income countries (


To apply, please submit a letter of motivation (maximum 500 words), a letter of recommendation from a professional colleague who is familiar with your work (maximum 500 words), a short curriculum vitae and a copy of the abstract to Timea Partos via email ( by 17:00 CET July 15th 2016. Please write ?SRNT-E 2016 Travel Award? in the ?subject? header of the e-mail message.

The decision on travel awards will be made by a review process by the SRNT-E Board, and will be communicated to the awardees by 31st July 2016.
